Harborline is run by people who've worked in the trades, built companies, and understand what matters.
Founder & CEO
Jim started in the trades at 16. Over the past 30+ years, he's worked in electrical, HVAC, roofing, low-voltage and smart-home systems, and light commercial construction. He's framed walls, pulled wire, run crews, and been the person homeowners trusted to build their projects the right way.
As his career evolved, he moved into leadership and operations management—building and scaling multi-location service platforms, managing hundreds of people, overseeing capital projects, and navigating the systems and structures that make companies run.
That combination—hands-on trade experience plus multi-location operations expertise—is what Harborline is built on. Jim understands the work. He understands the business. And he understands what you're facing when you're thinking about what comes next.
An acquisition that can't pay for itself isn't worth doing. We buy profitable businesses, not problems to fix.
We integrate one business fully before buying the next. One half-integrated company is worth less than one fully built one.
A job that generates a complaint costs more than it earns. We price work to keep the brand clean, not maximize volume.
The acquired business's name, team, and reputation are the asset. We don't change them because we prefer uniformity.
There are thousands of trade businesses in Florida run by owners aged 55–70. Most have built real companies—profitable, with good teams, strong customer relationships. Most have no clear succession plan.
Selling to a roll-up that rebrands you and strips out what makes your business special is one option. Harborline is different.
That's not a franchise model. It's not a financial roll-up. It's a platform built by someone who's actually run these businesses.
